Noticed this same thing today with mining drone II's... If assign all 5 to some roid, sometimes couple of them return to orbit ship and go idle after mining a short while. Remaining ones work as intended... Really weird. --- This is one of the moments where we look at what CCP does and less of what they say. Kabumb...
I clarify the reproduce formula in hopes to get blue reply...
Using mining drones in example as the bug is easiest to observe with those.
1. Send 5 mining drones to asteroid. 2. Let them mine untill asteroid depletes. 3. Wait that all drones become idle. 4. Send all 5 drones to new target asteroid. 5. Wait a short while. 6. Observe 2-3 out of 5 drones returning to orbit your ship and going idle with no reason what so ever.

Obvious bug is obvious :)
You see this with combat drones well also. 1-2 random drones status goes to "idle" once in a while. If drones are set to agressive, they too pick new target almost instantly, but if they are passive, new trigged is needed.
The reason why this new bugged behauviour can be noticed best with mining drones is, that they do not pick new targets automaticly. You always have to send them to their new target manually. If they go idle with their own, you have to resend them to do their task manually again. Passive/aggressive triggers do not apply.
Anyways keep looking the drone status and you see 1 or 2 drones behaving differently than the rest. Make them behave like the rest and you have fixed the bug. --- This is one of the moments where we look at what CCP does and less of what they say. Originally by: Utremi Fasolasi If it's so reproducible (I haven't been using drones a lot lately) how many of you all have filed an actual bug report, just curious.

Yep I believe that this has been reported by few guys already, but did you a favor and sent one myself also. |

Well my report got attached to a defect but the bug still isn't listed in known issues page. Perhaps they wait for more reports still :)
